Primary anesthesia changes the texture of the skin due to absorption of the product. This can cause the blade to create excessive trauma to the skin. Because of this, we do not use primary anesthesia on the first pass to create as little trauma as possible. During the second and third passes, we use secondary anesthesia to keep the client comfortable and pain-free for the remainder of the procedure.

Typically, touch-ups are required for most permanent makeup services, but with this technique and our beliefs, a touch-up may not be necessary. This technique produces amazing healing results on most skin types. Permanent makeup can look unnatural when too much pigment is deposited into the skin. This is why we believe that if your brows have healed beautifully into the skin after the first session, there is no need to add more pigment to the skin! If there are any areas that have healed unevenly or if you would like your brows to be darker overall, we recommend scheduling a touch-up. Oily skin types and clients with previous permanent makeup will likely require a touch-up session.

Because this technique uses a single needle, it is minimally invasive. This means there is almost no bleeding or trauma to the skin. The sensation is often described as a “slight scratch.” Most of our clients rate the pain level as 1-3 out of 10.

Yes! Depending on the saturation of your previous permanent makeup, we may need to start from scratch by removing the previous pigment. If the previous pigment has faded enough, we can work on it. Our #1 goal is to create NATURAL looking, healed results for each client. If your previous permanent makeup is too saturated (looks like a tattoo instead of a skin tone) or if the pigment has turned blue/gray or any other off color, it is not possible to create a natural looking result. In these cases, magnetic tattoo removal is highly recommended to remove the pigment from the skin so we can start from scratch! If you have previous PMU and need guidance on what your next step should be, send us a photo and we will evaluate it.

We cannot accommodate pregnant or breastfeeding clients to avoid any complications, risks or infections that may result from the procedure. We recommend waiting 3-4 months after you have finished breastfeeding before having your eyebrows done. This will allow your body to regulate its hormones to achieve the best possible results. We promise it will be worth the wait!
